Qualification

An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGClisted journals*** and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2. ii. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.

The recruitment to the advertised posts shall be carried out in accordance with the revised UGC Regulations, 2018. 2. The Ph.D. Degree shall be a mandatory qualification for the appointment of Professor 3. The Ph.D. Degree shall be a mandatory qualification for appointment of Associate Professors. 4. The candidates from Non-Government organizations are required to submit Form-16 for claiming their monthly emoluments in support of their claimed experience. 5. Any type of corrigendum/addendum/amendments/notice/updation etc. related to this advertisement shall be uploaded on University website www.cuj.ac.in only. Further, the University will not send any further information/call letters by post/newspapers. The University will not be responsible for invalid/wrong email ID and Mobile No. mentioned by the candidates. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the candidate to mention correct contact details and regularly check their e-mail and the website www.cuj.ac.in for updates. 6. Mere fulfilling eligibility conditions will not entitle any candidate to be called for interview. Stringent criteria will be applied for shortlisting the candidates. The University reserves the right to place reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for interview. 7. This advertisement contains department wise vacant positions. However, each department may require a particular specialization, therefore, the University reserves the right to shortlist/select candidates as per requirement of specialization/research area. 8. Under the term ‗good academic record‘ the candidate must have obtained at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master‘s degree level, or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University; and at least 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Bachelor‘s degree level or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University. The time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil. and / or Ph.D. Degree shall not be considered as teaching/ research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions. Further the period of active service spent on pursuing Research Degree simultaneously with teaching assignment without taking any kind of leave, shall be counted as teaching experience for the purpose of direct recruitment/ promotion. 10. Academic/Research Score as given in Appendix II, Table 2 as per UGC Regulation 2018. Each Academic/Research score must be supported by the documentary evidence (copy of publications, project sanction letter, utilization and completion certificates issued by the University and acknowledgements for patent filing and approval letters, students‘ Ph.D. award letter, etc, copy of publications, project sanction letter, utilization and completion certificates issued by the University and acknowledgements for patent filing and approval letters, students‘ Ph.D. award letter, etc,) which should be objectively verifiable, without which no claim on account of API score would be entertained. The API score shall be calculated as per revised regulations of UGC Regulation 2018. 11. Separate application should be submitted for each post. 12. Application incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all. 13. Experience and qualification will be reckoned as on the cut off date of submission of application. Clear quality Xerox attested copies of all important certificates must be attached with the application 14. Candidates already in service should submit their application through proper channel failing which the application is liable to be rejected. 15. The candidate shall attend the interview at the designated place and time at his/her own expenses. However, the outstation candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ PWD categories shall be reimbursed to and fro rail fare (sleeper class) for self only for attending interview. In case any station is not connected by rail, ordinary bus fare (shortest route) shall be paid on production of ticket. However, fare for first 30 KM of the journey shall not be reimbursed. The above mentioned concessions shall not be admissible to those SC/ ST/ PWD candidates who are already in Central/ State Government Service/ or holding any other employment. 16. The Number of vacancies indicated in the Advertisement is tentative. The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts, at the time of selection. 17. Reservation for SCs/STs/OBCs, EWS and PWDs exists as per the guidelines of the UGC/ GOI. Candidates applying for the reserved posts should clearly state to which category they belong to. They must also enclose attested Photostat copy of Caste Certificate/ Medical Certificate issued from the concerned competent authorities. The form of caste certificate to be produced by other backward class candidates must be in the format as prescribed by the Govt. of India( Proforma attached). Otherwise, the application will be summarily rejected without further consideration. 18. Person suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation for Person with Disabilities. 19. The positions reserved for PWDs for which the particular post has been reserved, the candidate of other categories of PWDs may also submit their application. In case of non-availability/suitability of the applicant of certain category of advertised post(s) may be filled up by the suitable applicant belongs to other categories of disabilities. 20. Candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. from foreign Universities should enclose ―Equivalence Certificate‖, issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, without which their candidature will not be considered and application will be rejected. However, the persons who have acquired Ph.D. degree from Foreign University through nomination by MHRD’s foreign scholarship programme will be exempted from the Equivalency Certificate. 21. The advertised posts are inclusive of backlog vacancies. 22. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview.
